The Faith That Refuses to Fold

In her encouraging, timely message, The Faith That Refuses to Fold, Apostle Hope reminded us that God’s purposes aren't canceled by difficult circumstances, and trouble doesn't mean God is absent.

Drawing from David’s experience at Ziklag, she highlighted how even the strongest believers encounter seasons of overwhelming pressure, emotional exhaustion, and uncertainty. However, emotional exhaustion doesn't mean spiritual failure. The real question is how we respond when life brings us to the edge of our strength.

When David faced devastating loss, rejection, and distress, he made a defining decision: he strengthened himself in the Lord his God (1 Samuel 30:6). Rather than allowing his circumstances to determine his future, he sought God's direction for what to do next.

Apostle Hope emphasized that pressure reveals where we have placed our confidence. Human encouragement may not always be available, but the Lord is our help. Faith must move beyond reacting impulsively to circumstances and learn to draw strength from God's presence and guidance.

Her message was a powerful reminder that the crisis may be real, but it doesn't have to have the final word. Christ remains our Sustainer, even when the mountain has not moved. Faith that refuses to fold isn't faith that never experiences weakness. It is a faith that knows where to turn when strength runs low.
