When God Realigns The Road
Apostle Hope Melton's message, "When God Realigns the Road," based on Isaiah 40:1–5 emphasizes that God is concerned not only with where we are going, but with how we are walking toward it. Isaiah 40 shows that before God reveals His glory, He prepares and realigns the road.
Valleys are lifted, mountains are brought low, crooked places are straightened, and rough places are made smooth. Spiritually, this calls us to examine:
What needs to be cleared?
What has become too large in my thinking?
What has been elevated above Christ?
How will I respond when God reveals the uneven places?
A key truth is: Grace does not eliminate preparation. Realignment often requires repentance, changed thinking, and renewed obedience.
Revelation → Repentance → Realignment → Repositioning
God may be adjusting the road because He is preparing us for what comes next. The ultimate purpose of the realignment is found in Isaiah 40:5: “The glory of the LORD shall be revealed.”
Sometimes God changes the road because He is preparing the traveler for the next manifestation of His glory.
If God is working on the road, then there's something down the road!
