How You Show Up Matters…

Most people do not leave the house without looking in a mirror. Ladies are definitely going to look in the mirror multiple times a day before walking out of the door. We do this because our appearance matters. Well, if it’s important to ensure we are well groomed and properly dressed each day before we go out in public, how much more important is it for us to be prepared to reveal and share Christ with others.
When we encounter others what do people see? What is our demeanor and expression? It is our responsibility as image bearers to reflect the light of Christ for others to see. When we are born again there should be a change in our behavior that exudes the character and nature of Christ. Our way of thinking and how we do things should change and point to our savior. How we show up matters.
Today there are many things taking place in the lives of people. The challenges of life cause many to suffer in silence not knowing what to do or how to respond. We are ambassadors for Christ who should be armed with the fruit of the spirit and the love of God. Share a kind word with someone. Give a stranger a genuine compliment or a smile. This may be just the thing someone needs to encourage and lift their spirits. This is why it is so crucial that we are mindful of how we present ourselves to others. Paul described those who follow Christ as living epistles who are read by others. The apostle Paul was being descriptive in the words he used to describe the believer. He was also letting us know that we are like letters that are read by many. What would someone say about you if you were a letter being read by them? Would your letter be filled with the attributes of the Christ? It matters how we show up in the earth. There are others counting on you to reveal Christ from within. They are waiting for your testimony and the demonstration of your walk with Christ. Show up and display the radiance of Christ in all that you say and do! Remember, how you show up matters!
2 Corinthians 3:2-3
