Some wounds are easy to see. Others are carried quietly in places that only you and God know about.
We can smile, work, serve, encourage others, and continue with everyday life while still carrying pain inside. Sometimes we become so used to being strong that we don't realize how much healing our own soul needs.
But God sees beyond what others see.
Psalm 147:3 says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
I love this scripture because it reminds us that God isn't uncomfortable with our broken places. We don't have to hide our grief, disappointment, rejection, heartbreak, or unanswered questions from Him.
Sometimes healing begins when we're finally able to say, “God, this still hurts.”
You don't have to pretend with God. You don't have to convince Him that you're okay. He already knows what happened, how deeply it affected you, and the places in your heart that are still tender.
And healing doesn't always happen overnight.
Sometimes God heals us little by little. One day you realize you're thinking differently. You're breathing easier. Something that once triggered tears doesn't have the same power over you. Peace begins replacing the heaviness you carried for so long.
That's healing.
If there is a hidden place in your heart that still hurts, invite God into it today. Give Him the grief. Give Him the disappointment. Give Him the questions. Give Him the memories you haven't been able to release.
You don't have to heal yourself.
God is the healer.
Let Him touch the places no one else can see.
