When Agreement Becomes Our Atoning Alignment

God did not need Abram and Sarai’s pre-meditated input for the Promise to be fulfilled. They had to fully agree and align to His Words. God had to reveal what they agreed to for His Fulfillment to come to pass. Sarah laughed because she considered her body and her age. She was looking at her own power as the source of this promised son coming to pass, not God. God would fulfill His Covenant as their Lord.

In contrast, Mary, Jesus’ mother, came into Agreement with what God said. In Luke 1:36-38, “For with God, nothing shall be impossible.” Mary’s response was, “Behold, the handmaid of the Lord. Be it unto me according to Thy Word.” Agreement with God is the start of our Alignment.

God asks us to agree with what He’s said to us. But many times, we’re spinning our wheels to figure out alone what the new is. God needs us to come to Him to ask Him for the new. What new can become. We can literally sit to create the blueprints for our latest masterpiece. But we didn’t ask God whether this is the new you have desired or prepared for me to carry out. Our minds can still be cluttered with the Egypt God has to deliver us from. How can this be? Surely, we’ve been set free enough or long enough to start to build without God? After all we’ve got the skills, talents, and gifts we’ve been blessed by God to use. We’ve been doing this So Long that surely, this is the way or what I think I should be doing.

New means New! We haven’t been this way before. We haven’t crafted this way before. God hasn’t shown us yet, although we have sat with the new that has been coming for a while. Sometimes, we run before God comes with the new instructions because it’s taking too long. Like when King Saul sacrificed before the military and the people of Israel because Samuel hadn’t yet arrived to perform the priestly sacrifice (1 Samuel 13:8-15). Saul let pride, idolatry, ego, people-pleasing, and Samuel’s delay launch him into disobedience and misalignment. Saul knew he was not God’s priest nor allowed to do the sacrifice for the people or God. He didn’t allow for time, God’s orders, or what needed to die in him first. King Saul lost his kingship and freedom. He was forever bound to the point it cost him his life! The Atoning Alignment came through King David to Jesus Christ being The Son, The Light, The Life, Salvation, Death, Burial, Resurrection, and The Ascension humanity Needed!

Mary’s words to the Angel of the Lord weren’t just lip service. She had already been pondering in her heart. Her heart turned! Her heart leaned toward her worship of God. She humbled herself. She didn’t go backward. She didn’t fall back on “I’m about to get married, become Joseph’s wife, get pregnant, and have The Promised Child.” Her decision to yield her understanding to God redeemed and aligned humanity’s lives to Christ. We could only become legitimate sons and daughters through Jesus Christ. Her “be it unto me according as You have said” should have us falling on our faces to worship God in His Spirit and Truth. It’s not to run away from it or create another idolatrous plan God didn’t sanction or request from us. “Lay down every weight that so easily ensnares you(us) and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” Hebrews 12:1.

Give God your full attention, your full Yes - to birth new things, your full dependency to empty out Egypt. He’s waiting to realign you into your purpose. You cannot skip this step! Don’t be afraid and move out in fear because the new hasn’t fully come, dropped into your spirit, or downloaded from God. Let’s course-correct to sit down somewhere, humble ourselves, and be intentional this time with our wait with/upon God. “Cast every care-that includes you(me) upon God because He cares about you(me),” 1 Peter 5:7. “He Knows His Plans for you,” Jeremiah 29:11. They don’t include entanglements or motives from you. Only your obedience to Him. You know if you keep on reminiscing about leeks and garlic, you’re still in Egypt(poverty)- OUCH!

God’s causing His sons and daughters to be in obedience to firm and secure our Alignment to Him, so our gifts, skills, and talents can flourish! He has never said they should be over our obedience to Alignment. Give yourself the needed time. Take this month to surrender, repent, ask for Christ’s Atonement and Forgiveness for you before you venture out and create more harm than good. New wine skins are prepared. Do not fill them with the old wine. They will burst on impact. Slow down, Fast, Pray, Seek God, put yourself (Control down). Stop self-seeking or people-pleasing to appeal to the masses.

Let Christ and His Kingdom come and His Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven,” Matthew 6:10. Earth needs to do and follow what Heaven and the Kingdom of God is doing, not vice versa. Remember, “the earth is my (God’s) footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me (God)? and where is the place of my (God’s) rest?” Isaiah 66:1. We surely need to line up with His Words, Will, Instructions to us. Our Kinsman Redeemer is waiting for you. Will you obey for your Alignment?

We’re on the verge, brink, cliff of breaking through to what God has commanded for us to do/discover. I had some Egyptian things pop up this week. It let me know I still must not bury, but reveal, submit, and fully surrender to God. He’s not done with healing me(us) and bringing me(us) into a sober-minded/like-minded place within Himself. Daily, I’m having to commit and cooperate with His leadings so I can be closer to what He sees fit for me to do. So, “Let this (His) mind be in you(me), which was also in Christ Jesus,” Philippians 2:5. In Jesus Name, Amen.
